A wonderful collection of 18th century - 1920's antique fashion and accessories for the beginning to the advanced collector. You will find items ranging from 18th century hats, regency era ballgowns, early French couture and fabulous handmade lace teagowns to wearable Victorian wedding dresses and stylish beaded flapper dresses.
All items available for sale will be appropriately cleaned if needed and have seams repaired. I believe that garments and accessories should be ready for display or wear upon receipt. As a courtesy to all my clients, every purchase is carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue. With over twelve years of experience buying, restoring and selling antique fashion, I will also be offering conservation, cleaning and restoration services upon request.
I hope you enjoy the Fashion and accessories on this website. They have been handpicked from many estates within the United States and from some of the finest markets in Europe. Trousseau is a member of the "Costume Society of America".
****Happy New Year - 2009****
I want to thank everyone for making Trousseau such a success since my website was launched in 2002.
Most of my friends and clients know that we purchased and moved to our dream farm in 2006. Our farm has become very important not only to the well being of our family but also to our local community. I have made the difficult decision to take a five year sabbatical from my business and sell Trousseau.
All fixtures, inventory from website/former shop (all pieces from the 17th century - 1930) and website will be for sale as a whole. This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to start a "high end" vintage fashion business. Please contact me for further details.
